By the end of 2011, Ifema will have staged 500 events at Feria de Madrid, of which 82 (81 in 2010) are trade fairs and congresses featuring exhibitions. In all, Ifema will have hosted 32,000 participating companies (33,200 in 2010), one-fifth coming from abroad, and 2.3 million visitors (2.6m in 2010). Madrid (ja) - Expoóptica 2012 takes place from February 17 to 19 at Feria de Madrid with a new format. The International Optics and Optometry Fair, organised by IFEMA, will be more practical, active and focused on doing business, coinciding with Optom, the International Optometry, Contactology and Ophthalmic Optics Conference.

who has extensive commercial experience at IFEMA, has taken charge of the First International Construction Week (May 8 to 11, 2012 at Feria de Madrid). This brings together three well established events: Veteco, the International Trade Fair for Windows, Facades and Glass Structures, Piedra, the International Natural Stone Trade Fair, and Construtec, the Building Exhibition.
