Gerald McQueen
has announced his resignation as president and CEO of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York after 15 years. He has agreed to continue in the post until a successor has been selected and put in place. Under his stewardship expansion was completed, and renovation of the building is currently under way. McQueen also played a critical role in getting organised crime out of the centre.
