Forecast for German trade fair market 2012

The Association of the German Trade Fair Industry
(AUMA) forecasts that 182,000 exhibitors and 10.3 million visitors will take part in 160 trade fairs this year, close to 2% more than attended the same events in previous years. However, at 6.8 million m² there will probably be only a minimal increase in stand space. AUMA considers this year’s anticipated economic slowdown unlikely to have any significant effect on trade fair business for 2012 in Germany.

Wi-Fi for free

From January 2012 wireless Internet access will be free of charge at all proprietary events throughout the Messe Frankfurt fairgrounds in Germany. Up to 3,000 users at any one time can now enjoy free wireless Internet access at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), following the completion in early October 2011 of a major upgrade of the Centre’s Wi-Fi system.

These compact LED modules supplement the RGB board family and can be mounted in such a way that even the smallest surfaces can be fitted with fascinating light effects.
