| m+a WebNews | | | | Eco-experts to speak at InterstoffHong Kong (se) - Interstoff Asia Essential Autumn 2008 organised by Messe Frankfurt will open October 8 to 10 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. More than 200 suppliers from Austria, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, UK and the US will be on show. Cotton Council International will send a delegation of six companies looking to source products from high-quality suppliers at the fair. Other highlights will be the 'eco-textile labelling guide' introducing the most important existing eco-labels and standards; special display forums for Autumn / Winter 2009/2010 fashionable fabrics, and eco-certifications experts to speak at the fair seminar programme.

| | | | | Record growth for DIY trade fairShanghai (se) - China International Hardware Show (CIHS 2008), powered by Practical World, ended its run on September 19 in Shanghai. Held over three days, this year's event was a record-breaking 103,500 square metres, organisers Koelmesse state. 2,000 renowned local and foreign exhibitors from a total of 19 countries participated this year, a ten percent increase from last year's 1,821. A total of 3,000 international and 31,000 domestic visitors attended the show, a four percent increase from 2007.

| | | | | The hotel industry’s potentialBarcelona (se) - With a wide range of products and services for the hotel and catering industry, from October 17 to 21, 2008, Hostelco will bring together 2,300 direct and represented exhibitors taking up the whole Montjuïc exhibition centre in Barcelona. Some 100,000 visitors are expected. The show is organised by Fira de Barcelona and Felac - Federación Española de Asociaciones de Fabricantes de Maquinaria para Hostelería, Colectividades e Industrias Afines (Spanish Federation of Hospitality and Catering Equipment Manufacturers). 1. | | | | | With considerable artistic valueMadrid (se) - Feriarte, the Art and Antiques Fair, will once again turn Madrid into a key focal-point for the art market, the decorative arts and the field of painting in particular. The thirty-second edition of the fair will take place November 15 to 23 at Feria de Madrid. In total, some 170 professionals will take part at the fair as exhibitors, placing on show more than 18,000 items of considerable artistic value for direct sale.

| | | | | Label industry: an innovative sectorChicago (se) - Tarsus Group’s Labelexpo Americas 2008, one of the largest events for the label, web printing, product decoration and converting industry in the Americas, took place in Chicago September 9 to 11. Despite the current unstable economic situation, Labelexpo Americas proved the label industry is still a resilient and innovative sector. The show demonstrated a high quality of attendees, with numbers exceeding 12,000. By the end of the show over 80 percent of the exhibition space had already been rebooked for Labelexpo Americas 2010. 26. September 2008
| | | | | Platform for product launchesSingapore (se) - On September 20 the second Games Convention Asia GCA closed at the Suntec Singapore Exhibition & Congress Center after three days. More than 92,000 gamers from Asia-Pacific visited the show (up from 70,000 in 2007), organisers Leipziger Messe report. This year's GCA was also the platform for the launch of numerous new products from the roughly 118 exhibitors. 25. September 2008
