In 2011 the tradeshow IMDS - International Maritime Defence Show served as a presentation platform for 409 exhibitors. These
tradeshow exhibitors presented their companies and services on a total of 15000 sqm at IMDS.
40000 visitors came to IMDS to inform themselves on the latest trends and innovations in the following main exhibit sectors: Naval and commercial shipbuilding, weapons, armaments, integrated complexes and fire control systems, combat control systems, communications, radio-electronics, radars and sonars, marine power plants, hull systems, gears and auxiliary machinery, naval aviation, deck and shore-based, navigation, hydrographical and hydro-meteorological services and hardware, navy coastal forces arming, high-speed and small-size vessels, boats, yachts for supporting and commercial purposes, logistics infrastructure, navigation security, search and rescue equipment, industrial equipment in shipbuilding and associated industries, new materials and technologies.
In general the following kind of visitors are welcome at IMDS: The public, 1st day trade visitors only. The frequency, at which IMDS is held, is biennial.

New international coalition
More conferences in China
The Dutch Congrex group and CITS China International MICE have concluded an alliance to optimise their international convention marketing and project management. The aim is to set up more conferences in China that bring together international and European business with Chinese prospectives and companies.
