Move to Delhi
Delhi (ja) - Hanover Fairs International’s Indian exhibitions are not taking place this year in Mumbai but, from November 21 to 24, in Delhi’s India Expo Centre and in Mart, Greater Noida. They are Cemat India, MDA India, Industrial Automation India, Surface India and Laser India.

FKM-certified: Fair and Exhibition Statistics
From now on exhibitions audited by FKM, the Society for Voluntary Control of Fair and Exhibition Statistics, are to be designated “FKM-certified” in order to make it even clearer that data supplied by the German society is transparent and reliable. Furthermore, its website now presents certified exhibitor and visitor statistics and the basic certification rules, offers tips for making use of data and has information on FKM’s role as a provider of services for everyone involved with exhibitions. The logo has been changed, and in it the green checkmark now gives certified, quality exhibition data the thumbs up.
Forecast for German trade fair market 2012
The Association of the German Trade Fair Industry
(AUMA) forecasts that 182,000 exhibitors and 10.3 million visitors will take part in 160 trade fairs this year, close to 2% more than attended the same events in previous years. However, at 6.8 million m² there will probably be only a minimal increase in stand space. AUMA considers this year’s anticipated economic slowdown unlikely to have any significant effect on trade fair business for 2012 in Germany.

In 2012 Koelnmesse will once again host the International Summer University for Trade Fair Management (ISU), the further education facility organised by UFI and the Institute of Trade Fair Management & Distribution Research at Cologne University. From June 13 to 15, 2012 the ISU will offer international trade fair executives the possibility to network with exhibition industry colleagues and reputed professors on their industry-specific experiences under the motto „Excellence in Sales – Selling Excellence“.
Epoc Messe Frankfurt
To mark its success and growing reach, Epoc Messe Frankfurt has moved to new representative offices in the heart of Dubai, expanding its space by 80% and increasing its employee strength by more than 40%. At the same time, the UAE subsidiary of the German trade fair organiser celebrated its 10th anniversary.
